NoraJean.Com is back up with iPage

I decided to go with ipage.com and spent the day redirecting the DNS addresses and transferring the main body of my website to the new web host. 


The blogs are toast again. My son's website still needs to be uploaded. 


I still have work to do but suffice it to say that NoraJean.Com is back up and the tutorial links from your site to mine should all be working. 

Looking for a new web host

If I'm posting here that means that my website norajean.com is not working. I tried getting in touch with the web host emonsterhost.com and their page to create a support ticket doesn't work. Not a good sign. I go clicking about and find that the web host is up for auction.  https://flippa.com/2717625-emonsterhost-com-web-hosting-business-pr3-595k-google-results-1-600-mo 

So it looks as if I will have to find another webhost. I had paid for a year in advance in January and don't expect a refund. Everything comes to an end at one time or another. I did find a web host that will support my FrontPage extensions. 

http://www.meccahosting.us/gg/services/web_hosting/ the name of which makes me smile because I am a Muslim. I shall turn towards MeccaHosting. 

I've removed my web links from my Facebook page and put up the blogs I have scattered about. I will be reposting this notice on all of them to keep folks up to date. 

As Aunty Entity said in "Mad Max: Beyond Thunder Dome" ... We shall rebuild! 

Houston, we got a problem.

Easier to post a video than to write it all out. In short my website is belly up and my new astrological software went on the blink. I got astrological transits that is like the "anti-Midas" touch for electronic communication. So what do I do? I use electronic gadgets to communicate in another way. I'll post again when my website is back up and working or if I find another web host.

Astrologers who complain

I've always had a philosophy that I don't take advice from anyone who is miserable. They aren't having a good time in their own life so how can they help me?

Someone asked me "If you're such a great astrologer, why aren't you rich?"

I replied, "Who said material wealth is a sign of success? It just means that you've traded time in your life doing something that made money. Most likely something that didn't feed your soul. So you can buy stuff you don't need to impress people who can give two shits about you. My success is that I can be chill no matter how much money I have or don't have."

I know a couple of astrologers, both male and female, who complain on line and to their clients.

How are your clients or potential clients going to be confident in your advice to them if you're using online space or time with them complaining about stuff? It's just so counter productive. I have Mercury conjunct Saturn in Virgo and logic is a big deal for me.

I'm not saying I've not pitched a bitch online in my time. My divorce of a couple of years ago got a bit of online space on my website but when I realized that I was using that space to tell my soon to be ex (who I knew was reading it) what I really felt in my heart. After a while I thought... that's silly. I took the pages down and stopped caring if he knew how I was feeling. Now that a couple of years  have passed I don't have any contact with him and I'm not tripping about it. We shared no children so loosing contact was easy enough to do.

I have learned in my dozen years online that there are some things best left between you and Allah. It's a mercy not to inflict your disquiet on the public. It's a blessing to uplift, educate, and nurture your readers. It's like throwing pebbles in a pond ...when you post something online the ripples go out and effect the readers. What sort of effect do you want to make?

I caution young astrologers, if you have a bad day go figure out what challenge or balance you need to make between your natal chart and your transits. Do not blame transits for your lack of self control. Have a family member or a close friend be your sounding board. Talk to another astrologer for an adjustment on your attitude. Do not talk, video, or type about your hard times if you are wanting to make a nickle reading astrology charts for other people. You have to be an example of how astrology helps a person get through life with a modicum of grace. Who wants to hang out with an astrologer who is going "Boo f'ing Hoo!"?

Now I know that some of the complaining astrologers will say "I'm just being honest." Well that's your therapy and you have to pay folks to be your therapist. Figure out what you want to be doing as an astrologer. Do you want to build a client base and make some money? Do you want to dump your bad days on potential clients and chase them away? Seems like a pretty easy choice to me. 

Also bitching and complaining about stuff going on in your life, online, is not addressing the issue where it stands...in your life. Got a problem with your significant other - go to couple's counseling. Got a problem with your offspring - again, go to a counselor. Got a problem with personal depression - see the above...go to a counselor or someone trained to help you deal with your problems. 

Readers online are not the ones who you should be dumping on. They have their own problems that they are having difficulty with and they are online looking for help. They are not looking for someone to bum their high with bitching and moaning that you're posting somewhere. 

Dig it, I went through my second Saturn return during my recent divorce. I've had Pluto hovering on my ascendant and opposing my natal Uranus in Cancer for years it seems. Rather than struggle against the transformations that must be made I grabbed my metaphysical surf board, looked over my shoulder for  the oncoming wave of energy, yelled "KaaaawwaaaaBungaaa" and rode the wave to where I am now. A woman transformed. 

All transits can be utilized is what I'm saying. It's our thoughts that need to be adjusted when our lives go through turmoil. I think of people who lost their homes in floods, tornadoes, wild fires and I figure my little aches and pains, my little mental readjustment doesn't amount to a hill of beans next to what they're going through. 

When we think we got problems we must remind ourselves we are not eating dirt sandwiches in Darfur. We are mighty blessed having a computer, internet access, free time to be surfing the web and falling across this post of mine. 

Be of good cheer and if you can't then contact me at my astrology section of my website, I can't change your life but I can change how you perceive your life and that will adjust your mood. A mood adjustment is what most folks need anyway. 

Setting up the new home away from home

This was the favicon I wanted to add to this blog but Blogger is buggy. It says it is not square but it is. I went to a favicon generator and made favicon.ico and that wasn't even recognized by Blogger. sigh

Suffice it to say this is another blog to expand my electronic foot print. If I'm using this blog it means that my primary website http://www.norajean.com  is malfunctioning. 

I have a YouTube Channel MSAstroStone where my astrology videos are located. 

I post the YouTube videos on my astrology blog connected to my website.
